What is Whistleblowing anyway?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Whistleblowing deals with situations where a whistleblower raises awareness of a possible illegal act that they have become aware of in the course of their work or similar activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whistleblowing obligations are introduced at European level by EU Directive 2019\/1937, and in Czech law by the Whistleblower Protection Act No. 171\/2023 Coll., effective from 1 August 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Employers will have to newly ensure the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manage the handling and archiving of notifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
