    Frequently Asked Questions

    What legislation applies to the eBenefity product?

    This is primarily governed by Act No. 586/1992 Coll., on Income Taxes, as amended. Section 6(9)(d) defines the rules for tax exemption of non-monetary benefits provided by an employer to an employee or their family member from social funds, post-tax profits, or non-tax-deductible expenses. These include:

    – goods or services of a medical, therapeutic, hygienic, or similar nature provided by healthcare facilities or medical devices prescribed by a doctor; these benefits are exempt up to the amount of the average salary per tax period,
    – use of educational or recreational facilities, provision of recreation or trips, childcare facilities for pre-school children including kindergartens, employer libraries, sports facilities, or contributions to cultural or sports activities, including printed books (excluding those with more than 50% advertising); these benefits are exempt up to half of the average salary per tax period.

    Where can I check my account balance?

    You can check your balance in the mobile app or in your personal account in the desktop version of the Můj Up platform.

    How does the eBenefity card work?

    It works like a standard payment card. If you prefer digital solutions, it also supports Apple Pay and Google Pay.

    Where can I pay with the card?

    You can pay at partners within our extensive partner network. Look for the sticker with the Up Benefity logo or browse e-shops in our search tool. If your favorite place isn’t listed, contact us and we will reach out to the partner.

    How can I order the card for my employees?

    Contact us to express your interest in the eBenefity card. We’ll be happy to get back to you.

    How can eBenefity be topped up?

    eBenefity can be topped up online to a selected nominal value in increments of 1 CZK, which can be adjusted. The card is issued in the employee’s name and can be branded with your logo. It is valid for 5 years and can be used without a daily spending limit.

    Can employees pay with the card online?

    Yes, the card can be used securely for online payments. Transactions can be confirmed using the payment authentication feature in the Můj Up mobile app, or alternatively via SMS.
