What legislation applies to eStravenka?
Act No. 262/2006 Coll. (Labour Code), as amended: Employers are required to provide employees with access to meals during all shifts, except for employees on business trips.
Act No. 586/1992 Coll. (Income Tax Act), as amended: Expenses incurred to ensure working and social conditions are also tax-deductible, including costs related to employee catering (excluding food costs) or meal contributions provided through third parties. Tax exemption for employer-provided meal contributions is primarily defined in Section 6(9)(b) of the Income Tax Act.
What should I do if a cardholder has a payment issue?
The payment may have been declined for several reasons:
- Your card may be blocked. You can check its status in your personal Můj Up account.
- You have not collected or set your card PIN.
- Your card has expired. Please ask your employer whether a replacement card has already been ordered.
- The amount entered exceeds your available card balance.
- The merchant is not part of the Up Benefity partner network. If your favorite restaurant or store does not accept eStravenka, let us know—we will contact them with an offer to join our partner network.
To use Apple Pay or Google Pay, you need:
For Apple Pay:
- A compatible mobile device (iPhone, Apple Watch, or iPad) with NFC technology
- An active All Inclusive benefit card issued by Up Benefity
- Apple Wallet app activated on the mobile device
- Card added to Apple Wallet
- Terms and conditions accepted (via SMS or email linked to the Můj Up account)
For Google Pay:
- Terms and conditions accepted according to Google Pay service requirements
- A compatible Android device or wearable with NFC technology
- Android OS version 5 or higher (device may require NFC settings adjustment)
- Active All Inclusive benefit card issued by Up Benefity
- Google Pay app installed on the mobile device
How can eStravenka be topped up?
eStravenka can be topped up online with a selected nominal value in increments of CZK 1, which can be adjusted over time. The card is issued in the employee’s name and can be labeled with your company logo. It is valid for 5 years and can be used without a daily limit.
Can employees pay online with the card?
Yes, the card can be safely used for online purchases. Payments can be confirmed via the Můj Up mobile app or by SMS verification.
